Our operating season is currently 1st July to 31st October. Please see our contact page to view our opening times. If for any reason we are unable to open, we normally announce this via our Facebook page. We recommend you follow this, alternatively, feel free to contact us.
Yes, we can accommodate group bookings of up to 40 people comfortably. We welcome, stag and hen groups as well as corporate teambuilding event and parties. We are also able to organise team challenges or on water games such as SUP or kayak polo - we even have floating goal posts.
Yes, Stoked activities are a great idea for a present. Please take a look at our Club & gift cards page for more information.
We are conveniently located right on the edge of a public pay and display car park. During peak season, the car park can become busy, however, there are other car parks within a 10-minute walk. We cannot store your bike, but there are various posts or fences by the slipway which you could lock your bike to.
When you arrive please make yourself known to our team and they will get you signed in, kitted out and on the water as soon as possible. You can sign in via your mobile, on our system or, if technology fails, then there is always good old-fashioned pen and paper. When you sign in, we will capture some basic details such as personal information and emergency contact details.
Yes, we provide secure storage for small items such as keys, wallets, and phones. Any bags can be left in our container but, as with any possessions you leave with us, you do so at your own risk and we cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, or theft. We recommend that, where possible, you secure your possessions in your car and then pop your keys in one of our lockers.
We provide safety cover with all our events and hire activities. We take safety very seriously and there is always a trained first aider on site. Before you go on the water you will be kitted up with safety gear and given a briefing. On the water, we’ll keep an eye on your group and provide hints and tips or more comprehensive coaching as required.
Yes, we are fully insured with a comprehensive £10 million public liability insurance policy. If you require a copy of our insurance policy, please contact us.
We have a range of equipment available to hire. You can find out more on our hire options page.
We cannot stress enough the dangers of drinking and being in or on the water. To make sure that everyone stays safe, please leave the drinking and celebrations until after your watersports activities. If we believe people to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, we will not permit you to participate in our activities or events.
Sorry, no we do not. However, there is a public toilet a stone’s throw away.
You will be issued with a buoyancy aid after you have signed in and we also provide safety cover when you are on the water. Your buoyancy aid will keep you afloat but if you cannot swim, it is important to note that a buoyancy aid will not roll you onto your back. The important thing to remember is if you fall in the water, don’t panic, stay calm and hold onto your boat or equipment. If you need assistance, call or wave your paddle in the air to attract our attention and we’ll come and assist you.
In the summer, the sea temperature in the Solent typically varies from 15-18 degrees. Most days a wetsuit is not required. However, if you do require one, we sell wetsuits so speak to our team and they will find the right size for you. Additionally, we can provide you with a waterproof spray top which will keep the wind off you and for most people this is sufficient.
Sorry, we do not. Turn your phone off, get out on the water and enjoy the stunning coastline. If you miss any calls, tweets, or messages, you can always catch up later when you have a story and adventure to share.
We do not have an electricity or water supply and so currently we do not sell food or drink. However, within a 10-minute walk there are a few cafés and a hotel which all serve a wide selection of hot and cold foods as well as drinks and ice creams.
Unless agreed in writing you are only permitted to stay within the safe operating area close to our beach hire operation in Stokes Bay. The Stoked team will advise you of any restrictions as part of your safety briefing. However, we also run events where we venture further afield. Check out our events page to find out more.
This really depends on your competence. It is possible to kayak and stand up paddleboard in windy conditions with a choppy sea state. However, that does not mean it is sensible. Know your limits and if you are not sure then speak to our team who can help you. If you arrive and decide that it is too windy, then let us know and we can arrange your return on a more suitable day.
Absolutely not. Our hires are charged for the equipment hire per hour. This is a benefit our kayaks, you can share your activity with your children making a session at Stoked very affordable. When you sign in, we will just need details of anyone participating in activities and we will issue you all with the necessary safety kit.
We provide lifejackets for all ages. However, the suitability depends on several factors. Our advice is to choose a day with favourable weather conditions and sea state. Our friendly team will then assist you and make sure you and your little ones are safe. The most important thing after safety is that your child is confident. Look at their body language and listen to them. Ease them into boating activities and once they are confident, they will love it. If you are unsure, get in touch and we will hatch a plan.
We promote our activities and operation as being family friendly. However, we appreciate that not everyone likes getting wet. You do not have to accompany your children on the water; however, you do need to stay on the shoreside as they are still your responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
This is fine but we advise parents to email us to inform us that this is the case or provide evidence on the day. Please note that when signing in anyone participating in Stoked activities, we will need to capture some basic details such as personal information and emergency contact details. Without these, we cannot let them participate.
You can easily book your hires online on our Book a hire page. Just enter the date and time and then follow the step by step instructions. You are not committed to anything until you have inserted your card payment details and submitted your booking.
Yes, same-day bookings are possible. However, to help us to accommodate walk-in bookings, we restrict online bookings for same-day bookings. If you want to book on the day, please email or message us on Facebook.
We recommend that you book online at your convenience. However, if you wish to call, email or Facebook message us then please do. Alternatively, you can just turn up and hope that we have space on the day.
You can pay for your hires by cash or by using a credit or debit card. At our kiosk we use a secure payment app called Square and online or card payments is our preference. You can learn more about Square at https://squareup.com/gb/en.
In most cases, this is caused by inserting the wrong number, expiry date or CCV number. Please make sure that you check all your details carefully. If you are sure you entered all your details correctly and you have enough funds in your card, we recommend contacting your card issuer or using another card.
Once you have submitted your booking, you will be taken to our booking confirmation page. You will also automatically receive a booking confirmation by email. You will need these details when you sign in on the day of your hire.
If you made a booking and were taken to our booking confirmation page, then we would advise you do not book again. First check to see if you have received an email booking confirmation. If you have not received an email booking confirmation, then please first check your email SPAM or JUNK folder. Failing that, please contact us and we will be able to assist.
On the day of your activity, you will need to sign in when you arrive. You can either present a printed booking confirmation or present it on your phone. Please note that when signing in anyone participating in Stoked activities, we will need to capture some basic details such as personal information and emergency contact details. Without these, we cannot let them participate.
If you are going to be late for your activity, please inform us in advance so that we can rearrange your booking to a more convenient time. If you do not notify us in advance, then we will wait for a maximum of one hour. Delays beyond this time may result in the booking being cancelled by Stoked Watersports at their absolute discretion. In any such event the full amount of the event or booking fee may be forfeited. Any client who fails to arrive for any reason whatsoever, without having notified Stoked Watersports will automatically forfeit all fees due. No liabilities whatsoever shall be attached to Stoked Watersports.

That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Booking Confirmation Email to you. In accordance with the law, you have a 7 day 'cooling off' period in which you have the right to cancel your purchase of any physical goods or services that we deliver to you. Outside of this, if you wish to cancel or rearrange your booking, please contact us. Please note that all bookings are non-transferable and cannot be re-sold without the prior consent of Stoked Watersports. Any refunds will be given at the discretion of the company management.
