Stoked Watersports operates in four beautiful locations, spread across England. Stokes Bay, Fareham Marina and the River Hamble are all on the South Coast in Hampshire, whilst Fell Foot is in the North West on Lake Windermere in the Lake District. Each base offers something very different so whether you are looking for coastal paddling, picturesque riverways or breath-taking panoramic lake and mountain views, we have it all.
Our season typically starts on 1st April and finishes in September, though operating times can vary from location to location. Our first session of the day starts at 10:00, and the last starts at 16:00 (17:30 in the peak summer season). More details on opening times can be found on our Contact us page, and our booking system shows availability in real-time.
At Stoked, we pride ourselves in offering a wide range of watersports activities using our high-quality equipment. Each base has a slightly different range of craft on offer, including paddleboards, sit on top kayaks, rowing boats and SUP wings. We cater for all ages and abilities – if you have any concerns about your ability to take part, get in touch and we can figure out a plan to get you on the water.
The easiest way to book with us is through our super simple online system – this guarantee you get access to the activity you want to do, at the time you want to do it. We can offer access to session times for walk-ins, but these are subject to availability. Prebooking's take priority.
We love hosting groups! If you want to book a larger group session, it’s best to speak to us directly first so we can figure out what special requirements you may need and how we can best meet them. At this present time, only our Fell Foot base can cater for school and youth groups but all our sites are available for other group bookings – whether that’s birthday parties, stag and hen dos, corporate events or any other reason you have to get together. Please be aware that we have a zero alcohol policy – save the partying for after you’ve been on the water!
Once you’re booked, we’ll send you instructions detailing everything you might need to bring to get the most from your session, but do always check the weather forecast for the date of your session and dress accordingly. Quick-drying clothes are a good idea – avoid those heavy cotton
t-shirts. We prefer all our visitors to wear appropriate footwear, such as wet shoes or lightweight trainers. This is essential for school groups in particular. A change of clothes, towel and weather appropriate extras (sunglasses, suncream, hats, water bottles, etc) are all advisable. We have a limited number of wetsuits available to use but can’t guarantee you a dry one on a busy day so please feel free to bring your own.
As with any busy attraction, parking requires some forward planning. Parking at all our bases is pay and display – make sure that you’ve paid the correct fee depending on how long you plan to stay.
Fell Foot parking notice: Fell Foot park is owned and operated by the National Trust, and membership card holders benefit from free parking. Fell Foot is extremely popular in peak season and unfortunately parking is not guaranteed. If you are unable to park at Fell Foot, it’s possible to park at Lakeside on the opposite shore and cross over to Fell Foot on a small ferry. Lakeside is a 10 minute drive from Fell Foot and a 10 minute ferry trip so please factor this into your timings.

Absolutely! Our goal at Stoked is to give people of all ages the opportunity to get on the water safely. We have lifejackets and buoyancy aids for all ages, and our team are trained to assess what flotation device will work best. Several of our craft can carry adults and children simultaneously, and confident older children can hire their own equipment. All children must be always accompanied and supervised by an adult, either from the water or the shoreline (within easy communication distance). Check out our video on how to get your children on the water safely and set them up for a positive experience.
Of course! A large portion of customers are new to watersports. You’ll always receive a full safety brief which covers how to use the equipment and how to stay safe on the water. The Stoked team are on hand to offer extra support and give guidance as desired.
Once you’re booked on, you’ll receive a booking confirmation with Joining Instructions. You’ll need to pay for any parking spaces, then report to a member of Stoked staff and get checked in. Please ensure you have filled out the digital safety waivers for all members of your party prior to your arrival – this will really speed up the process on the day. We can direct you towards toilets and changing facilities if needed, then get you kitted up with buoyancy aids and life jackets so you’re ready for your safety briefing.
We certainly do! We have a range of gift cards available, able to be redeemed for anywhere from 1 to 10 sessions. It’s important to note that bookings are still subject to availability, and so the recipient must still book their session in advance to avoid missing out on busy days. All cards are valid for one season. View gift cards here.
There are limits to the weather that we can operate within. Our team keep an eye on rainfall, windspeed and visibility and should the conditions take a turn for the worse, they’ll get in touch with you to discuss alternative options. We will do our best to keep the show on the road but your safety is paramount. See our cancellation policy for more information on adverse weather cancellations.
We love hearing about your experience on the water. Reviews on Google and Facebook can really help grow our business, and we make sure to read every one and take onboard your feedback. If you’d like to provide more formal feedback, you can do so via our Contact Us form. Thank you for your support.
We take your data protection seriously, and won’t use any photos in our marketing without your consent. If you consent to photos in your booking form, our staff will double check if you’re happy for us to use them in promotional material after your session. You can withdraw your consent at any point by contacting us in writing. More details of how we process your personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy.
We know that sometimes life gets in the way of fun. To cover a range of eventualities, we have a fair cancellation policy in place. There are several options available if you need to cancel or postpone a booking. These include moving your session time, rescheduling the date you visit, transferring the booking to another person, or cancelling and/or refunding your booking in line with our cancellation policy.
If you’re going to be late for your activity, please inform us in advance and we’ll try and rearrange your booking so that you don’t miss out. If you are late without contact for more than an hour,
we may have to cancel your booking in its entirety, and the payment may be forfeit. This is at the discretion of the Stoked Watersports.
We’re dog friendly! We allow dogs on our equipment and they are able to be with you for the safety briefing too. Please note that dogs are to be kept on a lead and we ask that this is a short lead while visiting us. We would also advise that you keep a close eye on your dog for any signs of stress. Our bases can get very busy and it may be helpful if you stand to the back of the group during briefings if the space would be more comfortable for your dog. Please also note that there are many children about, which can also lead to unpredictable encounters for your companion. If you have any further questions, please speak to our team.
Weight limits vary from craft to craft. As a rule of thumb, our sit-on-top kayaks have a maximum weight of 150/160kg (23/25 stone) and our paddleboards have a maximum weight of 100kg (16 stone). If you are unsure, then feel free to get in touch with us to discuss your requirements.
